A Leap of Faith

Despite knowing the path to success like the back of our hand, we may be too afraid to take it. Afraid of making a mistake, of falling short, of not making it to the other side unscathed. That’s because most of us were brought up to take the safe route, to not take risks unless absolutely necessary, to only take on responsibilities that we are capable of handling, to only interact with people we feel comfortable around, and to expect the same in return.

However, sometimes the only way to get where you want to go is to take a leap of faith. Don’t give in to apprehension or second-guessing. Never let the safety of what you already know win out over the excitement of what might be and what you secretly want. There aren’t many things that can compare to facing your fears, overcoming them, and emerging from the experience stronger and more capable than before.

The opportunity came knocking to address the August gathering of some amazing superwomen from the Exhibition industry at the WeConnect WeRise program held at The Lalit, New Delhi. It was organized by Indian Exhibition Industry Association.

I was reluctant to address :).People who know me well know that I am not a stage-friendly person. But two warm-hearted individuals Sooraj Dhawan and Nidhi Sharma showed immense faith, and patience and pushed me out of my comfort zone to share what I have accumulated in my 19 years of professional journey with such an enthusiastic cohort.

17th August 2022 was definitely the day when I took a leap of faith and conquered my fear.
